Rally for Heroes 2016 Report
In August, we posted a news article detailing our association with the Rally for Heroes 2016 event.
We are delighted to report that the Rally was a tremendous success and they’re on track to raise £125k, eclipsing the 2012 record of £123k.
Launched from the Portsmouth Naval Base, the 3,000 mile charity drive took off for Europe on 5 August. 54 vehicles with 116 people were challenged to drive 5 miles for every person who died in the Afghanistan campaign; the shell case bearing the names of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
In the 10 days leading up to the Rally a massive £25K was raised from public donations. This is largely down to the unprecedented level of media coverage involving National TV, Radio, Newspapers various, Twitter and Facebook.
