Background

With over 1,400 employees and a turnover in excess of £160 million, Advance Construction Scotland (ACS) have relied on Foretrack to help them control their fleet of over 750 vehicles and plant equipment for over 10 years.

Flexibility

ACS operate a mixed fleet of cars, vans, and minibuses, as well as plant equipment. The flexible grouping functionality in the Foretrack system gives them visibility of their workforce in several different ways. So for example, they can get an overview for all tippers at once, or all assets working on a particular contract. As each vehicle can be in multiple groups the system adapts to fit their needs, instead of them having to adapt their business to fit the system.

The Foretrack system is a key part of our business operations, giving us real-time control and visibility of our fleet.

Foretrack work closely with us to add new features and create bespoke reports, helping us reduce administration costs and achieve other savings across the business.

Integration

The Foretrack system also helps ACS manage timesheets and billing, a complicated task with such a large workforce working across multiple projects. It analyses vehicle movements to and from each project site, and collates them into a bespoke report that’s sent to the appropriate project manager each day.

The automation of the timesheets has significantly reduced the administration overhead in the office, as well as reduce customer invoice queries too.

Growth

ACS have benefited from the ongoing development of the Foretrack system, taking advantage of new features as they’re released. The system has kept pace with the success and growth of the business, demonstrating an ability to meet the needs of businesses both large and small.
